Hi Andro, thanks for the review. Just bought one off Amazon (Father’s day gift to self..) I’m still interested in the 230 Air (has inflateable tires). But there’s very little information about them – at least in english. I live in an urban area – Jersey City, NJ – USA. So it’s all pavement, but the quality varies from smooth to bumpy and gravel. I thought the air tires might handle the transitions more smoothly. But couldn’t find a review or information about replacement tires and tubes. I’m sure the 230 I just purchased will get me thru the summer. But I’ll keep watching for info about the 230 air. thanks again.
This scooter is absolute junk. I bought two Hudora scooters for my 7 and 10 year old granddaughters. They are both very light weight girls. The oldest weighs under 70 pounds. They owned them for under one year and used these scooters only occasionally. because they are involved in numerous activities and sports. Also, they live in Massachusetts where the weather alone limits its usage. Both scooters are now broken and can’t be repaired. The folding device in both scooters broke in the same place and you can’t even buy the replacement part in the US. The manufacturer based in Germany sells the part but will not ship to the US. I bought one on Amazon and one on eBay. They cost $160 and up to buy new. They’re a total ripoff. All these reviews of the scooter don’t address reliability and durability which you can best ascertain by extended use.

The scooter is nice, rides smooth, the folding mechanism works, but the board broke after 4 months of use. I am not a heavy guy (75 kg).
I understand things break, but the problem is that is impossible to find a replacement board in Canada. Hudora’s website don’t mention anything related to spare parts.
To be honest this is a problem with most of the adult kick scooters offered in north America. Unlike skateboards and bikes, it is super hard to find extra parts for fixing. It is a big problem in the sustainability side. I can buy a new Hudora, it is cheap, but should I? Does the world needs a pile of broken scooters just because one part broke? This should be seriously taken in consideration when reviewing a kick scooter.
